    Emily – Downtown Bay City and the CNC

    Emily is perhaps more comfortable in front of the camera than any other senior I’ve taken pictures of. No, I don’t exaggerate. It’s like this girl was made to be in front of the camera, and as her senior photographer, I loved every minute of it. Emily also loves having her picture taken, and since I love taking pictures, we had SO much fun. She was up for anything, and because of that, we got some of my favorite pictures ever. EVER. Dare I say this session was my favorite of the year? I mean, I can have favorites, right? They aren’t my kids or anything. 😉

    Emily also chose two of my favorite locations ever, and I love that. We did Downtown Bay City as well as the Chippewa Nature Center. Perhaps the best shots of the day were with Emily in her gymnastics leotard. I mean, she does an amazing upside-down flip in front of a purple wall. What’s not to love??

    I have to say though that I also really love the pictures with the sun on Emily in the field of wildflowers at the nature center. Really, the whole session was simply perfect.

    Here’s what Emily said about her session: “I had so much fun working with Eve for my senior pictures! She made it so easy to just be myself and have fun during our session! I am so happy with absolutely everything! Thank you so much Eve!”

    And here’s what her wonderful mom said: We are so happy we chose Eve!!! We could not have asked for a better experience from our first meeting to our final products!!! She really got to know Emily and her personality which made her feel very comfortable during her session!!! She was wonderful and gave guidance in choosing the perfect locations as well as the finished products!!! Thank you so much, Eve!!! We absolutely love everything!!!

    Kate – Dow Gardens and the Nature Center Senior Session

    Kate is a sweet, intelligent young woman, and I love that I got get to know her. She is confident, fun, and kind. And she absolutely rocked her senior session with me.

    All my seniors get to meet with me at my house a couple weeks before their photo shoot. We talk about what they’re planning on wearing, if they’re going to get their makeup done, where they want their session to take place, and they get to ask me questions. I love that I get to meet them before the day of their session! And I also get to give them tips and put their minds at ease. It can be nerve-wracking getting your senior pictures taken! One of the tips I give my seniors is to wear colors. They will really help to bring the focus on you. Kate knew the assignment. I mean, look at this gorgeous blue dress. That color looks amazing on her, and it really help draw your eyes in even more. I love that Kate took my advice. She also took my advice on wearing both casual and dressy outfits for her session. We want a good mix of both. Keep scrolling to see the other amazing outfits she chose.

    We had gorgeous weather for her session, and everything went perfectly. Something Kate really wanted was a field picture. Scroll on down and find the ones we got for her.   • Cousins – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Center

    Cousins – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Center

    Cousins are simply the best. I have a cousin who is only 26 days older than I am, and we have been best friends since birth. It’s a little sad to me that my kids live so far away from every single one of their cousins since I have such a strong relationship with one of my own. Durri and Jami are cousins and did their session together, and we had the BEST time. I made sure to get pictures of these beautiful young ladies by themselves for their senior session. But then I also took lots of pictures of these cousins together. Aren’t they stunning?

    We started on the beach out in Bay City. It seriously has the best light. And then we ended up at the Chippewa Nature Center (favorite location ever!), and my goodness, look at the pictures we got there. As an aside, I learned that smoke bombs are actually prohibited at the nature center after we took these smoke bomb pictures. Sorry, CNC!

    My favorite pictures from this cousins photo shoot though are the ones at the very end when Jami and Durri are wearing their traditional Indian dresses. SWOON! Make sure you scroll all the way down to those ones. Don’t miss them!

  • Durri – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Senior Session

    Durri – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Senior Session

    Durri and her cousin Jami had their session combined together. And what a blast we all had with each other and their wonderful moms. I knew it was going to be a fun session when I met the four of them for their pre-session consultation a couple weeks before their session. What I didn’t know was that Jami and Durri’s session would be in my top three favorite sessions of the whole year. The locations, the lighting, their outfits, everything was just perfect.

    Durri is incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. She truly made my job easy and came up with poses on her own. I love it when that happens! She can also do a handstand, so keep on scrolling to see her do that in her volleyball outfit. I really love that she chose to wear such vibrant colors for her outfits. That blue dress is simply stunning on her.

    At the Chippewa Nature Center, Durri wore several dresses. Check out her traditional Indian dress! And her earrings with that one made my jaw drop. Something I tell my seniors to do is to wear jewelry with each one of their outfits, and Durri wore amazing jewelry that really complimented her outfits.

    Here’s what Durri’s mom said about their experience with me: “Eve is such a genuine, compassionate photographer that has an amazing touch to put anyone at ease, especially the person in the limelight. She has a very skilled eye to capture nature’s beauty in her photography. She is also extremely organized and professional. Absolutely thrilled I choose her and would highly recommend her! Thank you, Eve, for making my little star shine in her senior pictures.”

  • Eden – Dow Gardens and Downtown Midland, Michigan Senior Session

    Eden – Dow Gardens and Downtown Midland, Michigan Senior Session

    Eden and her family lived in Midland, Michigan for years. They recently moved out to D.C., but they were able to come visit Midland again this summer. Lucky for me, Eden wanted me to take her senior pictures for her while they were here. I’m so glad she did! The weather was perfect, and everything aligned just right to make it a gorgeous evening. This week was a busy one for me, so I’m super grateful Mother Nature cooperated with us.

    I just really love the outfits Eden is wearing in these pictures. Something dressy, something casual, lots of color, she really has it all in these. We started at Dow Gardens and made our way to the Children’s Garden. While this particular spot might not be anyone’s first choice, I absolutely love the light here when the sun is out. As a photographer, the location is more about the light than anything. The pictures with the flowers in front of Eden? My favorite ones from her whole session. They are simply gorgeous as is she.

    Eden also chose Downtown Midland as another location. I’ll admit that this place is never my first choice for a variety of reasons, but I love the pictures we got for her. That blue outfit was amazing on her and pulled the color from her eyes perfectly. She finished up in another colorful outfit (and with some breadsticks from Pizza Sam’s). Overall, the session was so much fun, super chill, and worked out wonderfully. Best of luck for the rest of your senior year, Eden!
