    Emily – Downtown Bay City and the CNC

    Emily is perhaps more comfortable in front of the camera than any other senior I’ve taken pictures of. No, I don’t exaggerate. It’s like this girl was made to be in front of the camera, and as her senior photographer, I loved every minute of it. Emily also loves having her picture taken, and since I love taking pictures, we had SO much fun. She was up for anything, and because of that, we got some of my favorite pictures ever. EVER. Dare I say this session was my favorite of the year? I mean, I can have favorites, right? They aren’t my kids or anything. 😉

    Emily also chose two of my favorite locations ever, and I love that. We did Downtown Bay City as well as the Chippewa Nature Center. Perhaps the best shots of the day were with Emily in her gymnastics leotard. I mean, she does an amazing upside-down flip in front of a purple wall. What’s not to love??

    I have to say though that I also really love the pictures with the sun on Emily in the field of wildflowers at the nature center. Really, the whole session was simply perfect.

    Here’s what Emily said about her session: “I had so much fun working with Eve for my senior pictures! She made it so easy to just be myself and have fun during our session! I am so happy with absolutely everything! Thank you so much Eve!”

    And here’s what her wonderful mom said: We are so happy we chose Eve!!! We could not have asked for a better experience from our first meeting to our final products!!! She really got to know Emily and her personality which made her feel very comfortable during her session!!! She was wonderful and gave guidance in choosing the perfect locations as well as the finished products!!! Thank you so much, Eve!!! We absolutely love everything!!!

  • Durri – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Senior Session

    Durri – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Senior Session

    Durri and her cousin Jami had their session combined together. And what a blast we all had with each other and their wonderful moms. I knew it was going to be a fun session when I met the four of them for their pre-session consultation a couple weeks before their session. What I didn’t know was that Jami and Durri’s session would be in my top three favorite sessions of the whole year. The locations, the lighting, their outfits, everything was just perfect.

    Durri is incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. She truly made my job easy and came up with poses on her own. I love it when that happens! She can also do a handstand, so keep on scrolling to see her do that in her volleyball outfit. I really love that she chose to wear such vibrant colors for her outfits. That blue dress is simply stunning on her.

    At the Chippewa Nature Center, Durri wore several dresses. Check out her traditional Indian dress! And her earrings with that one made my jaw drop. Something I tell my seniors to do is to wear jewelry with each one of their outfits, and Durri wore amazing jewelry that really complimented her outfits.

    Here’s what Durri’s mom said about their experience with me: “Eve is such a genuine, compassionate photographer that has an amazing touch to put anyone at ease, especially the person in the limelight. She has a very skilled eye to capture nature’s beauty in her photography. She is also extremely organized and professional. Absolutely thrilled I choose her and would highly recommend her! Thank you, Eve, for making my little star shine in her senior pictures.”

  • Jami – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Center Senior Session

    Jami – Bay City State Park and Chippewa Nature Center Senior Session

    Jami is such a sweetheart, and I love that she chose me for her senior pictures. In fact, Jami and her cousin Durri had their session with me at the same time. It was the best! Both girls are fun and made such amazing models. I honestly feel like the pictures will speak for themselves.

    We all started out at Bay City State Park (AMAZING location for a senior session), and my goodness, the weather was gorgeous and so was the light. Today I’m featuring Jami, but you’ll see her cousin’s pictures and their pictures together the nest couple time I post. We briefly thought about having them wear their white dresses at the beach but changed last minute. White on the beach is fine, but it tends to blend in with the sand. I’m so glad we went with colorful! And I love that Jami brought her swim gear for a few pictures.

    We finished up at the Chippewa Nature Center, and my goodness, what an evening it was! The nature center is still my favorite location here in Midland for a senior session. I think my favorites of the whole day are the ones where Jami is in her traditional Indian dresses. Goodness, isn’t she super stunning??

    I’m so happy with how this session turned out and the beautiful pictures we captured for Jami. Here’s what she said about her session: “I absolutely loved my senior pictures and my senior session with Eve! She was so much fun to be around and captured amazing pictures for my senior year!”

  • Jaime – City Forest and Downtown Bay City Senior

    Jaime – City Forest and Downtown Bay City Senior

    Jaime is my first (and last!) senior guy for the graduating class of ’23. And what a session that was! Jaime made a great model and went along with everything I wanted to try. I love it when my seniors are up for anything.

    We started his session at City Forest. I honestly wish I had more sessions in a year here because it’s such a great and unique location. One of the things I love about City Forest is that pets are allowed. Which is one of the reasons Jaime picked this place. He did bring his dog, and I always love it when my seniors bring their best fur buds along.

    Before we finished up at City Forest, we snuck in a red smoke bomb. It stood out so well against the green backdrop of the forest.

    Our last location for Jaime was Downtown Bay City. I LOVE this place. I prefer it 100 times over Downtown Midland (no offense, Midland). Why? Because there’s so much more than just four blocks, and there’s almost always fewer people in the way. There are also so many cool walls and murals and colors. You just can’t go wrong with Downtown Bay City, and I’m glad Jaime chose this place for his second location.

    He pulled off so many great looks, and his Bay City ones are my favorite guy photos ever.

    Here’s what his mom had to say about her session with me: “We had a wonderful experience for my son’s senior pics. It was stress free and the pictures turned out amazing!” Stress free? Absolutely, every time. Thanks, Jaime and Amber for a great session!

  • Welcome, Class of ’23

    Welcome, Class of ’23

    Welcome, class of ’23! I can’t believe that I am already starting this year’s seniors. It seems like I just had my last senior of ’22 only a couple months ago. And here we are. And what an awesome start it is. 🙂

    Alex, my first senior for the class of ’23, is a complete joy. She’s down-to-earth, super sweet and kind, and completely laid back. In other words, a dream to work with and photograph. Alex chose Dow Gardens as her first location, and I was able to welcome in my first senior of the year at this beautiful location. Does she remind anyone else a tiny bit of a younger Catherine Zeta Jones? Just me? I love the pictures we got here, and I found some new locations for pictures that were perfect for Alex.

    We then headed to the Chippewa Nature Center, and we took volleyball pictures. I love how they turned out. Sports pictures are always fun for me to take. We also found this gorgeous pocket of light in the forest for the next set of pictures, and I love this set so much! Isn’t that light so beautiful? I could have stayed here another hour, but I don’t know that Alex would want her session to be that long. 😉

    Our last set was taken in a beautiful field with adorable flowers and gorgeous light. The CNC never fails to deliver on beautiful light and landscapes. What an amazing welcome we had for the class of 2023! I’m so excited for this year and this group of seniors. Now onto the next!
